Ag taisteal in Éirinn ag Traenach

Well, that got your attention, didn’t it? Let me explain.

One of our neighbors just recently embarked on a trip to Ireland. Like everybody around our neighborhood, she is well aware of my fascination with railroads. She even brings a cake in the shape of a train to our block party! Now that is neighborly!

Mrs. S. also confided in me that she would do her traveling in Ireland by train (Hence the headline: Touring Ireland by Train). Of course that piqued my interest considerably. Being always on the look out for new blog material, I did ask her if she would write a short blurb about her travels, which I would then publish on my blog. She graciously agreed to do just that, and, sure enough, I now have an account of her travels through Ireland. I intend on publishing that in short order.

There is only a tiny, little hitch: I just recently switched my blog platform from Squarespace to WordPress.com. I was becoming more and more annoyed with Squarespace for a variety of reasons I won’t go into right now. (Come to think of it, that could be an interesting blog post in itself) Anyway, I had been thinking about changing over for quite sometime and I did finally pull the plug on Squarespace last week.  However, as usual, things did not go as easily as I was hoping. So consider this entry a test run and a teaser to read more about Ireland in my next blog entry.
