…I have done it again!

Remember my last post? The one about preordering model train stuff and totally forgetting about having done so? The one where I said that it can sometimes take up to a year to finally get what I ordered? Well, I did it again. A package from Trainworld showed up a few days ago, leaving me scratching my head: I didn’t order anything from them!

So meet the new locomotives on my pike:

These are Broadway Limited Imports HO scale F9/7 A and B units. The prototype was manufactured by the Electro Motive Division of General Motors starting in about 1953. I believe that the modernized NS (Norfolk Southern) prototype is still being used for excursions and railroad business runs.

I have not really looked at the models very closely yet. However the first impression is indeed very good. The locomotives run well. DCC and sound are ex-factory. (Not that I really am a great fan of sound effects) I have a few other Broadway Limited models and so far they have not disappointed me. Now I just have to find some passenger coaches to go with it. Still not sure why I ordered these in the first place…Stay tuned!
